Chris Young, Partner and COO

Chris Young is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Baylor University in 1994 with a BBA in Accounting. He started his career in public accounting, specializing in the financial services sector for KPMG, LLP in their Houston and Dallas real estate audit practices, ultimately rising to the level of senior audit manager over a period of 8 years. Upon leaving KPMG, Chris was the Senior Controller & Treasurer at Invesco Realty Advisors between 2002-2004 where he managed the reporting and finance functions for a $3.5 billion portfolio of separate accounts and real estate funds before being recruited in 2005 to work for Goldman Sachs, where he directed the financial operations and client reporting for a series of institutional real estate funds managed by the Goldman Sachs Real Estate Principal Investments division.

In 2007, Chris transitioned into the Structured Finance and Portfolio Management Group within Goldman Sachs, building upon his finance and operational skillset with leadership responsibility over: (1) valuation of complex real estate and credit investments, (2) structuring up to $4.0 billion of external financing for single assets to large real estate credit funds, (3) developing third party lender and equity relationships while managing credit originations, (4) developing business plans and crafting strategy for a $35 billion real estate equity and credit investment portfolio, and (5) managing key relationships and reporting to Goldman Sachs leadership, external investors, lenders, joint venture partners, and third party service providers. In 2015, Goldman Sachs promoted Chris to become the Global Head of Portfolio Management for Real Estate Assets, leading a 30 member team in Dallas, London, Tokyo, and India, where he drove global uniformity and developed operational and system processes to strengthen and automate the portfolio function and enhance transparency of real estate risk to senior leadership within the Firm.

Chris Young now contributes his operational, finance and accounting expertise drawn from 24 years of institutional experience in leading Titus Capital as Chief Operating Officer.

Justin Jones, Partner

Justin Jones graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1994 with a BBA in Finance and a BA in Religious Studies and from Rice University with an MBA in 1997. He started his career with Deloitte Consulting where he worked on process improvement projects with State Farm, Frito Lay and Deloitte & Touche. Justin also worked with TIV Consulting Group on revenue enhancement and cost containment projects in more than 70 countries and 200 properties with clients including Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Hilton and Le Meridien.

Justin then became President and CEO of Espree Corporation where he grew the company into a multi-national business with average annual growth rates in excess of 20% per year for 14 years until being acquired in 2017 by The Carlyle Group, one of the largest PE firms in the world.

Justin is an avid real estate investor having invested in real estate assets that include multi-family and retail developments. Sample projects include The Shops at Chisolm Trail Ranch in Fort Worth (Texas), McCarty Commons Apartments in San Marcos (Texas), Salado Apartments in Tyler (Texas), Southbank Apartment Ventures in Jacksonville (Florida), The Glen Apartments in Temple (Texas) and Marabella Apartments in Salado (Texas).

Chris Willhite, Partner

Chris Willhite is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated with honors from Baylor University in1991 with a BBA in Accounting. He started his career in public accounting in Houston where he did tax work for Arthur Andersen as well as audit work for Ernst and Young, specializing in the real estate sector. Chris was the lead real estate developer on Atlas Point at Prestonwood, a 183 unit luxury, senior independent living facility in Carrollton, Texas underwritten with a $26.3 million HUD 221 d(4) loan that closed in August of 2016. He also worked with Ventures Development Group to place equity for the construction of South 400 Apartments in Ft.Worth, a 200 plus unit multifamily project on Jennings Avenue South of Downtown Ft. Worth – www.south400.com. Chris has also worked for Robert Half in Dallas, where he has specialized in recruiting for institutional real estate clients.

Chris contributes expertise and familiarity with the entire spectrum of the commercial real estate development process; site acquisition, finance, permitting & entitlements, zoning, municipality negotiation, construction, and exit.
